This page is dedicated to work I created during my 16 week Painting I class at College of DuPage under the instruction of Katie Jost.
12x18, oil on canvas. this is a still life piece i was challenged to mix my own black and white for. fun!
18x24, oil on canvas, reference taken from an online shop listing that no longer seems to exist. this is probably my favorite piece i made all semester? i just really love making humans in my work
18x24, oil on canvas. this was a fun still life piece where i used basically all my colors! lots of fun but was pretty difficult
12x18, oil on canvas. this is a canvas i used as a palette for the above piece. there is a lot of texture on it in person and its quite nice to touch!
20x20, oil on canvas. This piece was based around my memory of the old man room at Ignite on Monday nights. if you know you know! but it doesn't look anything like the place- this piece is an abstraction of my memories from there as Ignite Elston shut down. i feel like i have preserved the place for myself as an important part of my young adult development
20x20, oil on canvas. for my final piece in the semester I did a silly recreation of a section of Georgia O'Keefe's Sky Above Clouds IV. The clouds up close are meant to look like the characters from Pui Pui Molecar. I have never actually seen the show, the round clouds simply reminded me of them. This was a lot of fun!!
